Description

Sch80 316/316L Stainless Steel Seamless Pipe - 20' Lengths

Schedule 80 316/316L Stainless Steel Seamless Pipe provides heavy-wall, corrosion-resistant piping for commercial and industrial systems. Manufactured to ASTM A312 / ASME SA312, this seamless stainless steel pipe combines Schedule 80 wall thickness with the corrosion resistance of 316/316L stainless steel and is supplied in full 20-foot lengths.

Schedule 80 has a thicker wall than Schedule 40 stainless steel pipe of the same nominal size. Its seamless construction eliminates the longitudinal weld seam found in welded pipe. The pipe can be welded to compatible fittings and additional pipe lengths to create strong, permanent piping connections.

316/316L Stainless Steel Construction

316/316L stainless steel provides excellent corrosion resistance for compatible commercial and industrial piping applications. It is commonly selected for piping systems where additional corrosion resistance is required from the stainless steel material.

The material is well suited to fabricated and welded piping assemblies. Compatibility should be confirmed for the specific fluid, operating temperature, pressure, and service environment before installation.

Schedule 80 Design

Schedule 80 provides a thicker wall than Schedule 40 stainless steel pipe of the same nominal size. The heavier wall makes it suitable for piping systems where Schedule 80 dimensions are specified.

Outside diameter and wall thickness vary according to nominal pipe size. Refer to the Pipe Chart Diameters & Wall Thicknesses document below for dimensional information.
