Choose the Correct Fit
Match the #1 ECX tip to the screw recess. Clean out paint, dirt or metal chips so the bit can seat fully.
Fit this insert bit into a holder with matching shank and retention. Check that it is secure before operating the tool.
Installation & Care
Check working clearance before driving. Start slowly, then use only the force needed to seat the fastener.
Inspect the tip between tasks. Replace a rounded, cracked or twisted bit; increasing pressure will not restore its fit.

Important Product Questions
Which screws does this tip fit?
Use the #1 ECX tip on a matching combination recess. Check the screw’s specified drive type and seat the bit fully before applying torque.
What if the bit slips under load?
Stop and check the screw recess, tip condition and tool alignment. A damaged recess or wrong fit can cause slipping; forcing it may make removal harder.
Does impact duty set the screw torque?
No. Follow the torque requirement for the fastener and assembly. An impact-rated bit does not limit torque or prevent damage from overtightening.
