Choose the Correct Fit
Identify the stock material, diameter and hardness before selecting the cutter. Use the capacity associated with that hardness.
Check blade alignment and adjust it according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Do not force a damaged or misaligned cutting head.
Installation & Care
Support the work, wear eye protection and keep others clear of the possible path of the cut end.
Apply controlled hand force with the intended handles. Do not add pipe extensions or use the tool for material outside its verified limits.

Important Product Questions
Can I use the larger diameter limit on hard stock?
No. The 3/8-inch limit is for material up to 31 HRC. For stock up to 48 HRC, the listed maximum is 1/4 inch; both diameter and hardness must comply.
What if the stock hardness is unknown?
Establish the material and hardness before cutting, or use a method with a verified rating for that stock. Appearance and diameter alone are not enough.
Can handle extensions increase the cutting capacity?
No. Added leverage does not change the blade rating and can overload the tool. Use a cutter rated for the material rather than extending the handles.
