Choose it for clean wooden utility poles. Inspect for nails and other metal before drilling; use a bit specified for embedded metal when needed.
Will it fit a standard 1/4 in impact-driver holder?
No. The shank is 7/16 in hex and needs a compatible chuck; it does not fit directly in a 1/4 in holder.
Does the bit length equal its drilling depth?
No. The stated length includes the shank. Confirm usable reach and clearance on the actual tool before drilling through a pole.
