Description
Seismic "V" Loops - Flanged End Loops
Seismic “V” Loops are engineered to allow pipe movement in the ±X, ±Y, and ±Z planes. These compact loop assemblies are typically installed across building seismic joints or at equipment connections where flexibility is required.
Designed for versatility, loops can be installed vertically, horizontally, or at any angle. The only critical requirement is that the return bend remains free to move during operation.
Key Features
- Accommodates movement in multiple directions (±X, ±Y, ±Z)
- Compact “V” configuration minimizes required installation space
- Flanged ends for secure, bolted connections
- Ideal for seismic joints and equipment connections
- Reduces heat loss compared to traditional large pipe loops
- Includes drain port, drain plug, and support bracket (2" and larger)
- Designed for efficient indoor piping applications
Typical Applications
Used in piping systems requiring movement accommodation across seismic joints or near equipment connections. Ideal for flanged piping systems where secure, bolted connections are required.
Installation Notes
For steam applications, loops should be installed horizontally whenever possible to minimize condensate entrapment.
Ensure the return bend remains free to move during operation for proper system performance and movement accommodation.
